The Hotel was splendid, of course. It had lots of amenities. It made me feel a little uncomfortable. I have my fair share of tattoos and not famous. The more the staff "tried" the worse I felt. (And, I didn't say a thing about the way I felt). We do stay in the high end hotels but this was the ...

I'd probably stay at the Hyatt next time... you can tell this used to be a nice resort but it needs to step back up to other hotels in it's class these days. staff is quite incompetent, rooms need some updating. pool is great but way too many screaming kiddos.

I have heard similar reviews to Alesha B's about the decor of the hotel and similar frustrations. I went to check it out for myself anyway. I was surprised when I saw how big the rooms were and I experienced good service from the front desk. They even offered me a snack, they must of have been after my heart. ...

Beautiful resort. Rooms were large. Food was delicious, service was fantastic. The pool was a decent size, but got crowded. They did serve frozen fruit by the pool when it was hot. Would absolutely stay again!

You will love this place. Ask for Kenny at the bar. Dinner is expensive but it is a Five Star Resort. Enjoy the beautiful grounds and the music and dancing in the lounge.

I chose this Boutique Hotel to slowy venture back in to reality after my holiday in Sedona. The look of it online had the same vibe as Sedona and it didn't disappoint. Service was great, and the accommodations were nice and comfortable. This sprawling resort has something for everyone. My family chose to hold our every-so-often family reunion here and each of us loved our stay. This is a resort meant to host big events or family parties. I've stayed at an Aloft one other previous time. I love the brand. Walking in, I received a warm welcome from the front desk. A basic many hotels seem to neglect these days. If IKEA designed a hotel with 50s style, Aloft would be the flagship brand. The 24 hour grab and go has food with substance, not simply crackers ...

The Renaissance is the most indigenous hotel in downtown Phoenix. If you want to have a "local" experience, you can't go wrong. I enjoyed walking through the opulent lobby looking at the art work. I started to recognize parts of Phoenix in the photos. All of the artwork is local. As are the bartenders, some have been there for over ...

Walking in the hotel feels like walking into a extravagant castle. The lobby has that victorian, regal feel. For example, to enter the Red Rim Bisto you pass through tall black steel gate doors. Red Rim looks awesome. Its a white table cloth type of place but menu looks great. The opposite wall from the front doors of the lobby ...

This is one of the worst hotels I have stayed in. The room smelled like smoke when we walked in, and there was mold covering all of the air conditioning vents. The Phoenix Place Hotel & Suites, formerly a Radisson, is just a mile or so north of Downtown Phoenix proper. What I would call its defining feature is the enclosed backyard “garden,” a spacious alcove perfect for relaxing with the family. Its two pools - complete with artificial waterfalls (under renovation when I visited) - along with a full-sized beach ...

When I visited the Springhill Suites, it was in the middle of renovations, so things were a bit…dusty. By the looks of it, the whole hotel is getting a complete overhaul, which should be done by the end of July, 2013. When I visited the Hilton Garden Inn, it was undergoing renovations, and there were large black curtains covering up areas of the lobby with exposed concrete. (A teddy bear in a hard hat asked me to “bear” with the construction, so I can’t really complain. That’s just good comedy.) The rooms themselves had been partially updated with modern HD televisions ...

Recently having been remodeled, the Holiday Inn Phoenix Downtown has a clean, modern look to it. Just walking into the lobby, I was immediately impressed. This 10-story hotel is one of the taller buildings in the area, so you can get some pretty good views from its rooms. A little tip from the front desk attendant: the odd-numbered rooms have ...
