Believe the hype. I went here based on my best friend's recommendation...he happens to be an oyster aficionado, so he can't be wrong. He wasn't wrong. Get the Mountak Point oysters if they are in season, down it with a glass of champagne, and you can thank me later. Skip dessert, there are other options outside...but why would you have ...

The best chicken and rice in town. For $6, you get a massive bowl of chicken/lamb and rice with lettuce and pitas. The red condiments are very spicy (those with sensitive tongues are now forewarned). The line is often long but the affordable price, massive serving, and delicious food makes this food cart completely worth it!

A little overrated - not sure what the hype is about or why people wait in such a long line. I didn't try the frozen hot chocolate, just ice cream, but it was nothing special.

These sandwiches are ginormous...so when you see the price tag per sandwich and freak out...relax...one of these has enough meat for 3 or sandwiches. Go crazy and get the Woody Allen which is a combo of Corned Beef and Pastrami. The Jewish deli meats here are great...the waiters surly and don't forget those great pickles

Burger Joint at Le Parker Meridien Hotel

0.65 mi from The Roosevelt Hotel
    22 reviews

Juicy juicy burger establishment hidden in Le Parker Meridien with serious New York attitude. Be prepared to get bitched out if you don't have your order ready when it is ready. Hilarious stuff. Avoid regular lunch hours to eat... I would come here around 11:30am before the midtown executive traffic starts rolling in.

Incredible gastropub. We came to the Ace Hotel to sit in the bar and have a drink, but the Hotel lobby was packed so we came here. Fun and friendly bar with great drinks. Then, we saw the menu and how many people were ordering the lamb burger, so we came back for lunch another day and you know what? ...

To my surprise, it was just as good, if not better, than Keller's original French Laundry. In addition to maintaining its top notch reputation by presenting some of the world’s best tasting dishes, the restaurant carries a certain elegance that none of his wine country establishments do. With a contemporary and elegant flair, Per Se embraces a certain beauty that ...

This one of Portland's top coffee roasters and this is there first NYC location (I think they also have a roaster in Brooklyn now). NYC has been really adding great coffee options over the last couple of years and this is one of them. Great espresso based drinks or coffee. The coffee bar is inside the ACE hotel (another Portland ...

Cupcakes are so five years ago. Why were cupcakes even popular? Was it the Sex and the City endorsement? Our need to make dessert more “cute”? If you really need to try one, go for it, I won’t say they don’t taste good. But my idea of a good time doesn’t involve waiting in line for a small handheld cake.

One of my most memorable sushi experiences ever! I went in having really high expectations because of all the rave reviews this place got, and they were very on point. Impeccable seafood-centric dishes are served by gracious waiters in this highly respected temple to food. Possibly the best restaurant in Manhattan, Le Bernadin transcends the trends and Eric Ripert's fantastic food dazzles every diner who enters. The cost of greatness is high-- bring a friend with an expense account.

Decadence. That's how food should be. Live to eat. (until you start living in your yoga pants). Gorged myself at Les Halle's, former haunt of Bourdain. He has unfortunately gone onto to bigger things, but the quality of this place has not budged. Foie Gras, bone marrow atop shiitake mushrooms, steak and fries, and copious amounts of wine. I'm bringing ...

Good place for solid Italian food. Many of their pasta dishes are decent along with their meats.
