Essentially the best art museum I have ever been to. Granted I have not been to the Louvre yet but the MoMA is world class. With an incredible permanent collection and always great new works. Featuring pieces by some of the world most famous artists the MoMA is awe inspiring for any audience.

One of New York's most celebrated landmarks, St Patrick's Cathedral is a neo-Gothic-style Roman Catholic cathedral church in midtown Manhattan. Completed in 1878, the cathedral was designed by James Renwick, Jr. in the Gothic Revival style. It's most pleasant to visit during Christmas time with daily masses and beautiful decorations all throughout. It's also fascinating to witness the cathedral's Gothic ...

Not the largest you store I've ever seen but definitely one of the most fun. Even those who don't typically enjoy toys will find something for themselves.

Open 365 days and free to visit. Designed by the famous architect Ralph Adams Cram (who did Princeton, West Point and many other well known Neolithic masterpieces). Episcopal church. Nice interior although much smaller than St Patrick neighbor, but good for a quick stop in on a cold and blustery day. Cram is celebrated with a feast bay by the. ...

Many young girls fall in love with NYC upon watching the Audrey Hepburn film "Breakfast at Tiffany's" Though this iconic jewelry store doesn't feature a restaurant or any type of early morning meal, plenty of women (and men) are seen posing outside the window just like Hepburn herself.

I really enjoy the "intimate" shopping experience at Bergdorf Goodman....but not during a sale...but it is during a sale when successful value purchasing actually occurs.

I won't lie. I'm a huge Apple fan girl. So this might be just another Apple store for everyone else but it's a big part of Apple's history. The fist retail store, that required so many patents for the type of glass, for the way it was cut, the way it was assembled, for the signature spiral glass staircase and ...

Yes! I finally came to the real Henri Bendel! I know about the store/brand because of Gossip Girl haha...and there's a store in a mall in San Jose. I had NO idea that they sold cosmetics too. This store is huge...like 4+ floors (upper floors were under renovation, so there were only 3 available to shop). Everything is arranged by ...

The cube. It looks pretty cool and is quite photogenic. The innards are standard Apple store. For an European it felt quite odd to walk into a computer store late Saturday evening and see it crowded.

This cocktails are the most expensive I've come across in the city (~$24 a drink) but the view is worth it for a special occasion overlooking 5th Ave.

This is a beautiful store that sells very beautiful things: shoes, Manolos. The store front although seem small and narrow but it goes quite deep once inside...the new car smell?! over-rated, the new Manolos smell....heaven!

The Burberry store in Manhattan is one of my favorite stores in NYC for 2 reasons. First, I like the contemporary design of the store. Second, this store has an excellent selection of attire. Since this store is considered the flagship store of NYC, the range of clothing is a lot wider compared to sibling stores and starts from the ...

One of my expensive indulgences is the Schott's Miscellany Diary by Smythson. I order it in black or orange (on alternating years) and enjoy the quality leather feel, the crisp and thin blue pages, and of course the random quotes and quirky text. My 2012 Diary is now on its way......

I cannot express my love for this place enough. I love libraries, especially ones with beautiful architecture and a rich history. This was one of the highlights of my first trip to New York. I came during the anniversary last year and they had an exhibit on the history of the library and some of their collection on display.
