Tucked away In a small lane in Central London, this is claimed to be the oldest restaurant in London (1798). Yes this restaurant was even featured in Downton Abbey! This is the place to try traditional British food and game meat. Dress up for a change and savour the sights and flavours of a bygone era.

    Wahaca - Covent Garden

    0.16 mi from The Savoy
    15 reviews

Wahaca is a Mexican style London chain, I think there are about 5 restaurants in total, created by Thomasina Miers. Sometimes I can be put off because somewhere is a chain, but you really shouldn't be with Wahaca. It serves fresh sustainable food and everything is really tasty. We went for the Wahaca selection in the Covent Garden restaurant. It's ...

Great cocktail menu and decently priced too. Convenient to Trafalgar Square. The cuisine is faux-French continental but creative and enticing. Great place for lunch.

    Wagamama (Covent Garden)

    0.1 mi from The Savoy

I haven't had a bad Wagamama meal yet. Covent Gardens branch is very similar to the others, its good, fast and pretty good value for London. The restaurant is in the basement of 1 Tavistock Street, but dont let this put you off. With friendly staff, fast service even when busy its a great place for a quick bite. The ...

Favourite tapas place in London. It's on the pricey side but well worth it! Try the iberico burgers - they're amazing!

My friends and I came to Convent garden for some light dinner and some beer. It was such a nice night out in London and the outside seating inside the convent garden plaza was perfect :) Covent Garden Kitchen has seating under cover with heating and blankets for the colder times of the year. Free entertainment provided by the street ...

A decent burger and nice atmosphere. The roquefort cheese was too over powering for me. My wife enjoyed the Chili Burger. Good server to paid extra attention to our son even on a busy day.

Hidden above the market in Covent Garden. Great for a sloppy down to earth burger. Try one of the hard shakes (A milkshake with booze!)

Enjoyed a lovely coq au vin with mash and french beans followed by a creme brûlée. The atmosphere was quite lively when we arrived and grew livelier as the night went on. The location is actually downstairs so at first glance, it does appear to be a dungeon. Don't be afraid, for the food is delicious and I am sure ...

This is a London chain of French style bistros. It serves reliably good casual food for a reasonable price. The restaurants also have the advantage of a very good wine list for French wines.

Great place to go with girlfriends for brunch/lunch, but would be worried if a man took me there. Hilariously camp, and wears it very lightly. Food is decent in the 'best Eggs Benedict in London' kind of way. Seem to recall liking the mimosas too, but this was a while ago. Anyway, fun but not a 'must see'.
