In the middle of a busy day of walking I found the perfect place to doze off. Even if you just want to see the hair included in so many movies, it's definitely worth stopping here.

    Halal Guys -- 53rd and 6th

0.65 mi from The Sheep's Meadow

The best chicken and rice in town. For $6, you get a massive bowl of chicken/lamb and rice with lettuce and pitas. The red condiments are very spicy (those with sensitive tongues are now forewarned). The line is often long but the affordable price, massive serving, and delicious food makes this food cart completely worth it!

I would've missed this little bakery if I didn't look for it! Levain Bakery's cookies have no equals - they present a fine balance between crispy and moist. I can't recall exactly what kind of cookie I order; but it had chocolate chips and possibly a dose of fairy dust. I also tried the crispy pizza which was unlike what ...

Thoughtful dishes and tasty food. If price was weighed more here, I would give it a four and a half stars. I actually like Jean Georges and Picasso better. My wife likes Per Se better than Jean Georges, but we both agree Picasso kicks both their butts.

Impeccable seafood-centric dishes are served by gracious waiters in this highly respected temple to food. Possibly the best restaurant in Manhattan, Le Bernadin transcends the trends and Eric Ripert's fantastic food dazzles every diner who enters. The cost of greatness is high-- bring a friend with an expense account.

Nestled inside Central Park on a picturesque lake, you will find the Central Park Boathouse. The wait is very long, so I suggest going to place your name on the list, and then wander around Central Park until you near your wait time. Wafels & Dinges

0.88 mi from The Sheep's Meadow

Wafels & Dinges serves up some of the tastiest waffles in New York thanks to its waffle food truck. I had the Bobby Flay throwdown. It was the waffle Bobby Flay made for a food competition against Wafel & Dinges. He ultimately lost, but Wafel & Dinges graciously included his peanut butter powdered sugar waffle on their menu. I loved ...

I really like Totto Ramen and it's probably my favorite or tied with Ramen Dojo in San Mateo (I've tried some popular ramen places in L.A., S.F./Bay Area). Their broth is flavorful and didn't leave me thirsty after I left, which is usually a sign of too much MSG or salt. So that was good. Noodles were decent, not outstanding, ...

Best service I've had in a restaurant, possibly ever. Amazing food, super fine dining, and more reasonably priced that you'd expect for all of that. We had 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, cocktails AND dessert, for less than $200. For a restaurant of this quality, that is unheard of.
