A very decent vegan restaurant in Hermosa Beach. They serve natural food and use purified water in preparing the dishes. You get free carrot sticks while waiting for your food. I ordered the teriyaki burger with a side of steamed vegetables. The patty was a bit soggy and easily falls apart but the teriyaki sauce was tasty. The place itself was very casual and intimate. There are only 5 small tables in the main dining area. There's supposed to be seating outside. Parking can also be difficult.

I believe this is the restaurant where I first referenced a burrito being the size of my whole head. If I could bottle their burrito-topping sauce, I would drink it before I went to bed each night. The meals are enormous, healthy and filling, and the location is perfect (just a few blocks down from the main strip in Hermosa).

I've given this place over half a dozen tries, hoping it would get better (maybe I ordered the wrong dish the first time, second time?).
Good for: Someone who wants a healthy meal but doesn't care about flavor, texture, or temperature.
Needs Improvement: Cooking food fresh and made-to-order, with a little more thought and creativity would make this place much better!
+Savory sauce- this is some pretty tasty stuff and in my opinion the ONLY reason to EVER come here. But not so good that I will be back.
+Carrots and tahini dip brought to the table while you wait.
+Almond rice is tasty (served cold)
+They use a lot of healthy food (Beans, brown rice, veggies) and almost everything is available vegan.
-Food tends to be bland and rather unimaginative.
-A microwave seems to be a primary kitchen tool.
-Hot and cold spots in food (because it was microwaved). Yuck.
-While they use a lot of healthy food, the variety of vegetables is very boring.
-Sometimes they forget part of your meal/side, like when bread comes with your salad entrée.
-The blonde lady (who is usually at the front counter) could use a lesson in customer service and that smiling wouldn't break her face. She gives the service -required (taking orders, filling water, etc.) but it feels forced and kind of awkward. She seemed kind of friendly to some regulars, but cold to everyone else.
Metered parking (but you can drive up the street and try to get lucky with neighborhood street parking)
No credit cards. Bring CASH.
They serve organic alcohol (beer and wine). Wine is $7 a glass.
