This is the best hotel in Bangkok. Modern, luxurious and very Thai. The Oriental and Peninsula may get the most attention but they fail to escape their chain roots. Though some elements of the hotel are due for a refurbishment (currently in progress or may be complete), the Sukhothai is truly distinctive.
Executive Suites are well worth the extra cost. Long lingering brunches at the Colonnade and downtime by the pool are a must.
Food and beverage at the property are exceptional. Celadon is one of the better restaurants in the city. The spa and fitness facilities are also very nice
Make sure you see the sights but also try to carve out extra time to enjoy the hotel. Many returnees visit the property on long weekends and don't leave.

The Sukhothai is one of the
best hotels in Bangkok. The serene courtyard gardens can be admired from bed—it is such a treasure in the bustling financial district in Bangkok. The'Celadon' restaurant adjunct to the property is remarkable. It serves a great collection of modern traditional Thai flavors on a wonderfully quaint setting. It was named the "Best Restaurant in Bangkok" in 2012, and it is true!

This is my favorite hotel in Bangkok as it gives you a "Thai feeling" when you stay there (the decoration is classy and uniquely Thai). Its location is also near the business centers, not very near to the malls. Excellent choice for a business hotel in Bangkok. The Thai restaurant in the hotel is one of the better ones in town.Recommended for

The only fault I can find with the place is that it's so lovely that you won't want to leave the transquility of its grounds to explore congested Bangkok. Loved our suite: spacious, tastefully-decorated in muted tones. Service was flawless too.
