The Tango NanShi is extremely conveniently located, right next to the exit of Zhongshan MRT station. This area has lots of department stores, high-end shopping, and one stop away (or walk there via the underground shopping mall) from Taipei Main Station, the main transfer hub. The guestrooms are a bit smaller, and have the same type of mood lighting as The Tango XinYi. The lighting didn’t bother me as much at XinYi, but since the rooms are smaller, it felt a little gloomy. The desks come equipped with nice ergonomic chairs, and everything is controlled by a central remote, including the air conditioning, television, and window screen. Great location, wonderful staff, and a solid choice if you want to stay in the central Taipei area.Recommended for:

The ambiance at this hotel is very dark, even a little creepy. You can tell that they have their own style and took time in designing it, but the place doesn’t give you a very welcoming feeling. The guestrooms are small, the hallways are narrow, and the private business offices are absolutely tiny. There was kind of a cool space-age microwave in the room though. However, the staff is very helpful and the lounge is always stocked with lots of stuff to eat. Still, the location is very ideal (and location is the most important thing!), being situated right outside the MRT station. From there, wherever you want to go is convenient. Even if you don’t take public transportation, the immediate area has lots of shopping, department stores, and restaurants.
