The Tango XinYi is the best value option for travelers who want to stay in the Xinyi District (Taipei 101, shopping, clubs, etc.) but at a more reasonable price. Tango Xinyi is newer, rooms are larger and more comfortable, the facilities are better (business center for meetings or interviews, lounge for causal meetings or relaxing) and the price is the same or better than other places the same distance away from Taipei 101. The 24-hour lounge is great for meeting guests or just surfing the web, watching TV and relaxing. But maybe the best part is the staff, who are all very young, friendly, and helpful. The lighting is dim in the lobby, but the rooms are actually very bright, with ample lighting from large ceiling-to-floor windows. It wasn’t a problem for me. Tango Xinyi does have some interior rooms without windows, so be sure to verify that when booking if it’s important to you.

The location is great, convenient to the MRT as well as everything in Xinyi (Taipei 101, World Trade Center, etc.) A lot of people don’t know, it’s sort of this hidden secret of Taipei that the eastern side is newer and less expensive than living in DaAn. Plus you get the other side, which is that it’s close to some of the more traditional Taiwanese places like Wufenpu Commercial District and Raohe Street Night Market (best night market for food in Taipei!). The junior suite had a really nice Jacuzzi tub, and there even was a clothes washing machine in the room, something you don’t find in many hotels. The room also included complimentary soft drinks, traditional Taiwanese teas, pineapple cakes, etc. It was a nice touch, and a good way to experience those little things about Taiwan.
Amenities include buffet-style breakfast; business center with private offices including desk, computer, printer, scanner, and fax machine; 24-hour lounge with public computers, televisions, coffee/tea and light refreshments; midnight snack on Friday and Saturday evenings; and multifunction meeting rooms. Microwave and hot/cold water dispenser available on every floor.
The Tango XinYi has 105 guestrooms equipped with premium goose down bedding, flat panel televisions, Pioneer surround-sound DVD systems, cable and movie channels, high-speed broadband Internet, in-room safes, minibar (surcharge). Rooms include complimentary bottled water, coffee/tea, daily newspaper (choice of language), bathrobes, slippers. Bathrooms feature both shower and Whirlpool bathtubs. Some rooms have microwaves and/or washing machines (request).
