One of my favorite bars in Gaslamp! My little brother's girlfriend wanted to celebrate her birthday in Gaslamp, so I recommended this bar since we rented a loft close by. Our original intention was to do some late afternoon bar hopping. However, after having a few drinks here we ended not hopping anywhere.

There are 3 stories here: the main bar floor, a floor with games and a pool table (upstairs), and a dancing floor (downstairs), which wasn't open at the time we were there. The crowd here is really chill. Everyone is super friendly and easy to talk to. The age range is pretty spread out, but you'll probably see mostly 21 to late 30's here. I got hit on by two 22 year-old drunk military dudes, which wasn't too uncomfortable, but one of them couldn't take the hint either. The other one was too plastered to know what was going on. Sorry rookies, I was doing multiplication and division before you were even born. Good thing my brother and his friends were there to cock block!

Drinks were well made, had a good amount of alcohol and pretty reasonably priced, especially during happy hour, which I think on this particular Friday night did not end until 8 PM.

This is definitely one of my go-to places, and if you're new in the area, this is a good one to stop by and grab a drink. Or two. Or three...

A girls night out in San Diego started off here. We were about to skip it completely to head to another place, but who could resist free admission? It was a bit crowded on the main floor, so we headed upstairs to the other bar area (called The Nest) to order a drink. The bartender was quick to serve us and my drink was delish. It's not that difficult to make a good Long Island. Two of our party of four ordered the frozen Hurricane. For some odd reason it tasted like cotton candy. Wouldn't mind returning here.

Friendly atmosphere, delicious cocktails, and the option of an intimate booth or open table. Plus, entertainment options upstairs include a pool table and lounge sofas, making it almost like a club -- without the dancing. And the prices are pretty darn good for a downtown bar - but then again, they appreciate their locals just as the locals appreciate them.

Tipsy Crow is a an awesome three-level bar downtown is literally three unique bars in one. The main bar is an big kids game room with oversized connect four boards and other classic board games that you can play while you eat and drink the night away. Upstairs you'll find The Nest, a more studious, cozy yet risque lounge that has two fireplaces, a pool table and even a library. If you're feeling frisky head to The Underground, a brick enclosed bar, dance floor and music area where party goers dance the night away under strobe lights to live bands and DJs spinning the hottest tracks. No matter your bar preference, Tipsy Crow has something that is sure to please everyone and promise a memorable (or not, depending on how much you drink), fun night!
