The very first thing I noticed when I walked into this hotel was the soft botanical aroma. It smelled absolutely amazing, and the desk agent told me it was their signature Westin White Tea fragrance. There are two onsite dining options, The Oceanaire Seafood Room and the 2nd Floor Bistro Bar. A lively bar precludes a trendy-looking restaurant serving New American fare. I followed the white tea fragrance to my guest room where I was greeted by a considerably spacious room, king bed, and a formidable working space. I learned that in-room spa services are available which is a big plus! Keeping with the hotel's contemporary theme, the look incorporated modern pieces and clean lines. The pool is heated February and March, while the surrounding area is lovely and idyllic with its red umbrellas shading the lounge seating. Another great perk is the Westin New Balance Gear lending. In case you forgot your gym gear but still want to get in your workout, you can borrow stylish, New Balance gear for free (you keep the socks, though). Even better, the hotel will even supply you with a running route.Recommended for:

If you like to shop, then stay away from this place or else your brain will explode from excitement. Aside from the fact that this is an extremely nice hotel with everything you'd expect, it is directly connected to the most impressive shopping mall for hundreds of miles. If you've got money to burn and time to kill then this is the perfect place for you. Inside the hotel itself you'll find at least two five star restaurants, a relatively private pool, massive ballrooms, and enough space to fit any size family. My guess is that this place didn't even suffer through the recession. Some things are just too big to fail.Recommended for:

The recently renovated Westin Galleria Dallas has a rich, contemporary designer feel and is a perfect place to stay whether you’re there for a convention, local business, a staycation or just a shopping trip. Rooms are open with warm, clean lines, Heavenly beds that you’ll love, window seats with a great view and working desks and the bathrooms have granite and large dressing areas so you can do your hair and make-up or spread out your shaving kit. The pool is open and airy and there are some great cabana lounge areas that are first come first served so get there early and the fitness center has been updated and has all the equipment that you’ll need if that’s where you want to work out when you’re there. The most important part of this hotel, to me at least, is that you’re staying at the Galleria Dallas which has been named a top 10 US shopping destination, with stores from Nordstroms and Saks to I think a Sony store and a brand new H&M, not to mention all the dining and drink options and a large indoor ice skating rink, there’s something for everyone and, if you want to skip the work out, the mall is ¼ of a mile long so, you could walk around all three levels and that’s a mile and a half of walking before you even start shopping.Recommended for:

I love this hotel. The rooms are really nice, very clean and the beds are divine! The location is great because it's attached to the Galleria mall. Book a room around Christmas and you can shop til you drop and then crawl into a big comfy bed! Greatness!
