The Westin Georgetown isn't actually in Georgetown. It's several blocks away, closer to the business part of town. If you really want to be IN Georgetown, I'd try The Latham or The Georgetown Inn. But if you are mixing business and pleasure, this is not a bad location. There are a number of other hotels and restaurants nearby.
It has a dark wood, clubby atmosphere. There's a pleasant promenade with polished wood floors. And the hotel restaurant has a pretty courtyard, that would be a nice place for a small wedding.Recommended for:Business Travelers

Though this hotel is nothing special, the location is fine. It's walking distance to metro, and not far to the business area, Georgetown, or George Washington Hospital. There are hotels on 3 corners at this spot, and it's around the corner from Bread and Chocolate, a French bistro. If you want to catch a movie, the West End Cinema is there too.
The doormen were cheerful, and friendly. A nice touch.

Great location near the restaurants on 14th street. The hotel itself is fine. Definitely an older Westin and has an older atrium-style hotel feel to it. Rooms are typical Westin quality. Nothing distinctive but good enough.
An easy 10 min walk to the convention center.
