No stranger to mother nature, Peachtree Plaza took years to repair after being struck by an urban rarity EF3 tornado. The main draw is the SunDial Restaurant on top, which rotates while you dine- giving you a 360 degree view of the city. My favorite feature of this hotel; though, is the running concierge that will take guests of all running abilities on a 3 mile foot tour of the city. Even the most buttoned up business guest can have a moment with nature in this hotel.Recommended for:

This hotel exceeded my expectations. Close to the registration desk there are two self-watering living walls. The hotel is definitively showing its green footprint!
The Westin brand promotes health and fitness. One service that I liked that they offer is called Run Westin Concierge. Runners of all fitness levels can participate in a three-mile run Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 7 a.m. Not only do you get a good workout, it’s a great way to take in the city. The saltwater pool is amazing with a retractable roof, and the fitness area is sizeable.
The rooms were recently renovated, but it’s the breathtaking views that captivated my attention. One of the brightest hotel rooms that I have seen, not only is the natural light superb but the energy efficient light bulbs in the ceiling help do the trick. The bathrooms are a bit tight but the rooms give you plenty of space.Recommended for:

The Westin Peachtree Plaza seems to have an energy that comes from within. This prominent piece of the Atlanta skyline towers over downtown with the distinctive curved shape. This is a very large hotel, however the staff pays very close attention to making certain you are comfortable and happy. I can imagine this is no small task.
After surviving the tornado that hit downtown Atlanta in 2008, this hotel was visibly scarred from the outside for several years with missing windows. The building has now returned to grandeur and the rooms have undergone a stunning renovation. The rooms are elegant with mesmerizing views and ample space. I love the crisp and impeccable linens on the beds.
The fitness center is absolutely huge. I could not imagine ever having to wait in line for a cardio machine here. The pool has been tastefully updated and is covered with a rounded glass ceiling that mimics the round design of the tower.

Super easy to get to from the MARTA station (although the first time I visited Atlanta, I landed at night and it was intimidating trying to orient myself of which direction was north/south once I surfaced). This is definitely a very business-oriented hotel. The lobby areas are cold, quiet and a little too spacious. I felt bad making any noise, dragging my suitcase up to check in. The whole building is like a super tall cylinder, which means the rooms were also curved. The views were stunning though. The room decor is just okay - watch out for sharp edges and corners. Not really a home-y feel. At least the beds are comfortable!Recommended for:
