what a special place, dark, historical, traditional menu, eat there at the evening that you go to the Tattoo, and you won't have to stand in line..you are already almost in front of the Castle!! also nice patio, great atmosphere, rather expensive.

Great location. Service and food was satisfactory. Okay, just okay. Read my full review here: http://rbell28.wordpress.com/2013/11/26/the-witchery-by-edinburgh-castle/

This is a special occasion type of restaurant but I didn't like it. No complaints about the food but service was stuffy and it is too expensive for what you get.

This is a very unusual hotel that has very exclusive rooms looking like they are out of a fairytale.
The Inner Sanctum is where Michael Douglas proposed to Catherine Zeta Jones. This is a very beautiful room as you can see from the photographs with an out-of-this world bathroom.
They also have a five star restaurant which is booked up months in advance.
The Witchery is full of antiques and looks like something out of a Harry Potter film.
The very small winding staircase might prove difficult for some people as you need good balance and eyesight to manage them. Stepping up the staircase feels like you are about to enter into a storybook tower from a magical fairytale.
