Posh department store in Piccadilly Central London with some good eateries and lots of overpriced merchandise. It's a convenient place to go for lunch and has a branch store in St Pancras station if you need that sort of thing.

    Laduree at Burlington Arcade

    0.09 mi from The Wolseley
    9 reviews

Laduree is known for its macarons. They're really the ones who put macarons on the foodie obsession map. The Burlington Arcade location is good for a quick stop before jewelry shopping or hitting the Royal Academy, and is a much better bet than the Costas, Prets and Neros along Piccadilly for a takeaway coffee.

Like the name says, it's very green :) If you are going to see Buckingham Palace, be sure to stop by here, it's very cool to stroll around. There is squirrels everywhere, they are not afraid of people, I saw people feeding them. A nice place to rest and relax.

I visited louis vuitton new bond street london hoping to look at a bag I liked and have a pleasant experience. But it was by far the most annoying and disappointing experience I've had at any store. After browsing I asked a lady staff to show me a bag which I pointed out. Instead of servicing me, she whisked me ...

    White Cube

    0.15 mi from The Wolseley

A big London art gallery, it's literally a big Cube. I felt very art-y visiting it, and the work we saw was interesting: thousands of tiny photographs of the same mountain landscape in different weather and light, almost like latter day Monet haystacks. Unless you are a visual artist or very into the scene, maybe it's not worth a special ...

    4 reviews

Mahiki became famous/infamous as a watering hole for the young royals (Prince William and Prince Harry) and their entourages. It is a strange place - styled as a tiki bar, with super sweet, super strong, exotic cocktails at 20 pounds a pop.

For a unique concentration of luxury shopping and historic charm, Burlington Arcade is a must. This passage unites Piccadilly and Bond Street, and glitters with diamonds in handcrafted and vintage settings, contrasted with the scent of Penhaligon's perfume and colors of Laduree macarons.

This gallery feels smaller than the other White Cubes in London, but it still hosts some absolutely amazing exhibitions. Located near Picadilly Circus, it also seems to have a luxurious feel about it.

Great cocktails served in random cups (like in the photo), very hidden entrance and a nice theme. Good for after work cocktails or tea time when they have special events. Definitely get the cocktail with absinthe or chilli peppers. Not cheap!

I went to Ye Grapes with a group of international colleagues. Good selection of drinks, and a good gin and tonic. I'd certainly go back if I had a group of people, as there was plenty of space. Additionally, it had a nice decor which made it good for a work event.

Members only - but can go as a guest. Being a casual dresser, the mandatory tie didn't suit me well. Nevertheless, I went all out and wore a bow-tie! The food was great, very traditional menu. I explored the building, worth visiting the library which is furnished in floor-to-ceiling old wood.

Definitely a cool touristy thing to do if you're in the area. The legendary Duke Bars is internationally renowned for its famous martinis and personalized cocktails; apparently, Ian Fleming (James Bond’s author) has been a regular onsite. Despite, the bar’s décor is slightly stuffy, and serves drinks that probably break the bank by a rather unpleasant mixologist.

Reasonable prices for the location. Right next to super posh club Mahiki so once you see a lot of flashing lights, run outside with the rest of the rubberneckers to catch a glimpse of whatever celebrity or has-been.
