A fabulous boutique hotel in The Loop. Their rooftop bar, ROOF, is one of the hottest spots in the city for drinks and incredible views. Love the smell of the place once you step inside the lobby. They pump a lovely scent through their vents that make you want to stay there.

I've stayed at many hotels in Downtown Chicago and this is my favorite! The room was spacious and beautifully decorated and the bed was so comfortable! Trendy but not over-the-top and within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go.

I like shots and fist pumping as much as the other guy... so maybe that's why I'm not bothered by all the fun that's to be had at the rooftop bar here.
Midwesterners only get so many places to do this kind of thing. And only recently have we been able to do it loudly and with abandon. Can't hold it against them.
Well oiled machine they have here. Great spot.

Hip new hotel in the heart of the Loop! Right next door to the beautiful Chicago Theatre and all the fabulous shopping on State Street. Indoor/outdoor lounge on the 27th floor voted one of the "Top 10 Best Rooftop Bars in the Country" by USAToday.com. Check it out!

Because it’s a Doubletree, you get the chocolate chip cookie and you can use your rewards points. But because it’s their new boutique brand, you also get a glitz-chic interior and a hip rooftop bar (named ROOF) that lots of non-guests are willing to spend a lot of time waiting in line to visit. Decide for yourself whether that’s a good thing, but make sure to take your room key with you at all times. Because of all the visitors you’ll need it to access the guest floors in the elevators. I loved the dimmers on the LCD lights in the rooms, but did not find it ultrahip or modern to charge for wireless access. You can request a small fridge here if you aren’t in a suite, where they are standard. Other unique touches I like included the nature CD’s they pipe into the hallways – waterfalls, owls hooting; you never know what you’ll hear next. The boxy sink was cool to look at but almost comically non-functional. There is a convenient adjacent L stop, but make sure you don’t get a room that rumbles with each train’s passing.
