Tipsy Parson

2 reviews

Tipsy Parson brings good southern cooking to NYC. I choose to divert from my typical brunch favorites for a taste of the south. My dish of choice and craving was the BBQ Pulled Pork Spoonbread which also happened to be mentioned in the top 3 recommendations from our waiter. The price and quality of the food were great, the staff ...

Not a fan of the overly literal ship design and really not a fan of the weird location in the dodgy part of Chelsea, but I do like the restaurant, which counts for something.

    Class:
    0.2 mi from Tipsy Parson

Good! - 77% of guests recommend

This is a great hotel to stay at when visiting the city. Rooms are small but extremely comfortable, with a modern design and awesome shower. Location is great too, right in the heart of Chelsea and walking distance from many restaurants, art galleries, and markets. Reasonably priced compared to most NYC hotels you get some good value for money!

This new hotel (April 2010) screams Fashion District with its trendy decor, colorful neon lights, and decorations resonating the neighborhood's rich history of fashion design and clothing making. Bright, sleek rooms feature amenities like free coffee and Tazo Tea and offer rather ample space for midtown Manhattan. Just steps away from the free museum at FIT as well as plenty ...

Probably the most "down to earth" W in the world...ok, at least in NYC. what i mean by this is the vibe here is actually very pleasant and not clubbily trendy at all. Perhaps it is its location in Union Square which is more hipster and studious, then trendy and glamourous. The rooms are really really big, a departure from ...

The lobby's sky-high ceilings and sprawling reception area makes this luxury hotel seem even more luxe than its price might indicate—that, and its prime location in the Flatiron District on Madison Avenue. The rooms themselves are typical of a hotel of this class and price: modern, clean, spacious, comfortable, with high-quality linens and bath amenities. The bathroom is more spacious ...

You're right in the middle of Chelsea and a short walk away from a lot of great neighborhoods. The rooms are simple, but they provide the basic necessities and a little bit of exercise (this European-inspired hotel doesn't have an elevator, so be prepared to walk up a flight or two unless you request the first floor rooms). There is ...

I'm a fan simply because the rooms are huge and the suite I was in featured a beautiful, free-standing bathtub, parked just feet from the bed, which I thought was AMAZING. A great bathtub located right in the bedroom is my idea of luxury. Also, access to the pool, in the middle of a hot summer, is reason enough alone ...

I love this hotel but it was getting crazy expensive as the only decent hotel in the area (before the Standard opened). The best part of this hotel is most certainly the roof-top bar and pool area. We have spent many a hot summer Manhattan night drinking cocktails by that pool laughing at the size of Tori Spelling's boobs and ...

A great new hotel in an unlikely location, the Nomad is definitely a current hot spot and the restaurant is home to the city's most popular roast chicken. Gramercy Park Hotel is such a pretty and fun hotel, I would stay there in a heartbeat, if I did not happen to live just a few blocks away. Originally built as a hotel for sailors, The Jane still maintains that nautical charm. The entire staff is always dressed dashingly in red bellhop uniforms, and the lobby looks like something out of a Titanic movie set. The hallways are narrow, dark and wood-paneled, like those of a ship. When I entered the hotel, I felt like I stepped into ...

An almost obnoxiously Italian hotel. The rooftop area is nice but the drinks are expensive and the crowd is almost all Italian. If you want a rooftop bar, I prefer Gallow Green just down the street for better drinks, service, and a view.
