BODIES...The Exhibition and Titanic:The Experience are now showing at the old Hollywood Wax Museum in Buena Park.

Titanic The Experience showcases artifacts and personal effects from the tragically sunken ship. The costumed docents guide visitors during the experience, complete with matching accents. Shoutout to the woman playing the unsinkable Molly Brown. She was a hoot!

A first class room replication, silverware, clothing and assorted belongings are some of the things to see. The most memorable for me was touching a scaled down replica iceberg that visitors can actually touch, feeling the cold up close and personal. The melting ice was a great way to cool off today ;p

Unbeknownst to me, first class passengers didn't necessarily have priority access to the lifeboats. A lot didn't make it, along with the lower class.

A replication of a third class room, for the "steerage", displayed double bunks just like the movie. The security gate made me feel like the scene in "Titanic" where the steerage areas were blocked off, quickly swelling with onrushing sea water and Jack and Rose have to swim or face drowning inside the ship.

We were also sat on benches that formed the shape of a lifeboat, where a docent told the accounts of people being lowered in lifeboats, awaiting to be saved. I was hoping the lifeboat would sway, or sound effects and lights would go off, but nothing. Still, it was a touching recollection of that historical event.

I left Titanic The Experience feeling solemn upon learning about the lives of various passengers through their lifestories and personal artifacts. Some made it and some did not.

Between BODIES...The Exhibition and Titanic The Experience, Titanic was my favorite.

I highly recommend checking out Titanic The Experience whenever you're in Buena Park for a look back into one of history's memorable events.
