Love the hard shell tacos here...not authentic by any means, but the beef is shredded (not ground beef) and the cheese is melted on top! I could eat their nachos and salsa for days...my boss at UCLA used to put in an order for us the night before (order through their website for orders over $70 in advance) and I would pick it up on my way in. They have burritos, enchiladas, etc. too. Seating inside and outdoors. Parking is limited in a small lot.

sometimes the line sucks and is too long... but dayem those tacos are always just what the doctor ordered :)
YUM! I seriously cant say more than what others have... but i love that they are slightly greasy beef lettuce and cheese tacos. I can just sit and eat and eat and eat them

The quality here has gone DOWNHILL!! =( They are skipping on the cheese & meat & they get the orders wrong & they took my taco! I ordered a taco & paid for it & when I got home it was not in my order!! It's NOT good as it used to be anymore!!

Tito's is on a whole 'nother level. I don't even know if it can be considered authentic Mexican food, but it doesn't even matter because Tito's is that great. I don't like tomatoes, I'll eat some salsa's, but I practically drink Tito's salsa. They have a standard, simple menu, so don't expect anything fancy. Order a taco with cheese or a beef and bean burrito with cheese, get a side of salsa (I always do a large and if you have some left over take it home!), and chips. Expect to take it home because all the tables are usually full. If you go during the lunch or dinner rush, expect to wait, they have lines going out the door to the road sometimes.

Yes that is a half eaten tito's taco with cheese. Halfway through scarfing down my meal, I realized I forgot to take a pic of the full size pre-eaten taco for gogobot. Thats how good these deep fried hard shell tacos are, you lose focus on everything except pouring the special tito's salsa into the taco and munching away! Ive eaten here since I was 5 yrs old and will keep on eating here til im 105 yrs old.

It was going to Torrance for a thanksgiving get together with my friends. My friend said, "TITO's tacos is right here!" He had always raved about how good their tacos are. So i told him, "lets go!"
Even though we had a huge dinner upon us, I felt like I needed to fulfill my yelp duties to try this place. So there we went.
We got lucky with the parking cuz you gotta park on the street. The lines were so long, but good thing they moved very quickly. My first reaction was, this place must have bomb tacos, look at all these people trying to get tacos! As we waited in line, I noticed the prices are really good too! Very cheap for some super hyped up tacos.
At this point, my expectation was through the roof! So when I got my tacos...it didnt exactly meet my expectations. Its just that it was set too high. The tacos were good, but not out of this world good. I do like the freshly made taco shells.
Would I drive 30 minutes to West LA for these tacos? Nah. I can probably find just as good tacos, if not better around my neck of the woods. But I must say, if im craving for cheap tacos, and is around the west LA area. Titos tacos would definitely be the first on my mind.

Another landmark in Culver City right next to Johnnie's Pastrami! Titos has also been around since the late 50's. They moved to a larger location right behind their original spot and there is still not enough parking and between 11:00am and 3:00pm there will be a loooong line. It is always a wait but always worth it. Not authentic Mexican food, but good!
