An autumnal necropolis near the Golconda Fort on the outskirts of Hyderabad, this rambling park filled with the spectacular domed tombs of the medieval Qutb Shahi sultans and their various wives is one of the most interesting (and undervisited!) sights in central India. The architecture is amazing, and it's a fabulous example of the rich and varied historical heritage that makes India such an enchanting place to visit.

Qutub Shahi Tombs belong to the Nawabs of Hyderabad who ruled the place. They are situated behind the famous Golkonda Fort. The tombs are well maintained and are surrounded by gardens. Best time to visit is in the evenings. Don't miss the Sound and Light show in the evenings.
