Yummy hof brau with serious selection of beers from all over the world. Pastrimi, cornbeef, ham and buffalo stew. They have salads too... But we dont come here for that. Daily specials? That we do! Bring cash, they dont take credit cards. That is okay too. Prices wont break the piggy bank.

One of San Francisco's most famous Jewish Delis... It has been on almost ever food show and is worthy of that kind of recognition. I love the sandwiches and meat combos. Its cash only so be aware.

Oh, Tommy's Joynt. I would sometimes walk home from work past this colorful spot, and have to literally plug my nose so their enticing smells wouldn't lure me in before dinner. For someone who doesn't eat meat all that often, I could have a bbq brisket sandwich here every day. Their baked beans are AMAZING, as is their extensive beer selection. Oh, and free pickles? Lots of free pickles, from a huge jar that sits at the end of the counter line? Thanks Tommy!
One thing to be aware of: it's cash only, like much of SF. They have an ATM inside if you don't have any bills on you.

Love Tommy's Joynt for what it is: old world saloon + cafeteria style deli bar. (That was a mandate, not just a personal statement.) I love their corned beef and roast beef. Behind the glass, the meats rest in their juices & fats. It's good ol' American meat carvings plus mashed potatoes or other sides. Order quickly, pay, sit and enjoy. I had the surprise of my year when waiting for a friend by the bar and realized it had a wealth of beer choices. I chose a Brazilian beer and had a great time.

i have been to tommy's many times in my 30+ years and i love good hof brau food and they are definitely one of the best around.darn good food til almost 2am in the morning what else can a guy ask for?!!
hot roast beef sandwiches, open faced turkey sandwiches with mash potatoes and gravy and one of the best sloppy joe's i have ever had in my life.
the first time i ever went to tommy's would be the best experience i have ever had there and is for sure a night i will never forget. here's my story......
it was just less than 10 years ago and i took this girl i had been dating to see no doubt at the filmore with a few other friends. well one of the opening bands was goldfinger and we ran into them in the crowd after their set and we got their cell number to call and hang out after the show. well after the show my date called them up and we went to meet them in the hotel they were staying at. we got to the room and to my surprise everyone was lying around watching thu summer olympics on tv and off to the far end of the room i freaked when i saw gwen stefani. i just about pissed myself because at the time i was in awe of this cutie. i got a nice quick embrace from her and a cool shake from tony kamal then they left the room and the rest of us headed off for a drink. we jumped into the bands tour van and ended up at this hof brau just after midnight. what the heck were we doing at a hof brau at this time of night and how were they open?! we had drinks nd ate but i cant even tell you what i had that night because of all the excitement but i really loved the feel of this place and i do know the food was top notch.
