A little hoity-toity, a little overpriced, a LOT of politicians, but there's no denying that Tosca makes some great Italian food. The butternut squash fritters I had for an appetizer were light and sumptuous, and my main dish of asparagus lemon risotto was phenomenal. I was seriously considering licking the plate clean, but I'm sure the waiter would have given me the stink eye. Also, I can't remember which wine we had but it was beautiful and satisfied everyone at the table. Again, as is the case with downtown DC restaurants, there are a lot of suits and the atmosphere seems a bit too formal, but I would come back for that risotto in a heart beat.

Terrific upscale Italian place with a wide range of seafood selections. Outstanding service. Lots of Congressmen around so try to hold your temper. Fabulous gnocchi.
