From the creators of Bourbon & Branch, Rickhouse and Local Edition...
In a world... of bourbon...
There stood a man... poised to take control...
Okay, maybe it's not as dramatic as a movie, but Tradition is one exciting spot! Oldies play overhead as the large space (formerly Mr. Lew's Win-Win Bar and Sazerac Emporium) really shines with speakeasy charm. The drinks are all fabulous, notably their Sazerac variations and the Scotch cocktails. These bartenders know what they're doing.
Come during the weekday to avoid the crowds.Recommended for:

The guys from Burbon and Branch really hit a home run each time they open up a new bar in the city. Tradition is probably my favorite of all the locations because it's intimate and spacious at the same time. It's not as loud and crowded as Rickhouse or Local Edition and you don't have to make a reservation to drink here, unless you want a booth. I would recommend reserving a booth though, as that's the only way you can access their huge book of cocktails. The bar menu is very limited but still has a great selection. You can of course order your favorite classics too. There's also a mezzanine with a bar that is perfect for small private parties.Recommended for:

Four stars only because the drinks are a LITTLE pricey for the neighborhood! It has a great little speakeasy type layout, with the tables being a little closed off from each other, in almost their own little rooms (the booth ends go up to almost the ceiling). The bar might be a better place to sit if you want to meet people whom you didn't come with.
The drinks are great, just a little pricey, but they are very gourmet and have ingredients that you can't find anywhere.
I recommend it for when you have a party of 5-10 people whom you want to spend some good quality time with - versus going out to meet new people.Recommended for:

What do you expect from the group who brought you Bourbon and Branch? This place is obviously class all the way down. No need to make a reservation at this location (unless you want a booth), though. I really enjoyed the decor and the vibe it brings to the bar. The bartenders were ALL really fantastic and really helpful (the drinks on the menu weren't really to my taste that night, so one of the bartenders helped me out with a brand new creation that was a little more to my liking!).
Bonus: the night I was there, the music was a freakin' awesome selection of the best night-on-the-town songs from the 80's.

If you go on a busy night, the drinks will take forever because it's speakeasy style. Owned by the same people that own bourbon & branch & Wilson & Wilson, this is an awesome rendition of a traditional American bar. Love the Southside drink here.

No password necessary here! Bar Tradition is brought to us by the Bourbon and Branch crew and they have done it again! Both walk ins (bar area only) and reservations (bar & booths) are available to those who want to come here to same their wonderful mixologies. The menu is extensive and the genre is very eclectic ranging from (and organized by): dive bar fare to hotel bar fare to tiki bar fare to of course speakeasy fare.
Make a reservation for the booths to get cozy privacy or stay at the bar to see the mixology magic happens!
