The name says it all. Come to trattoria cacio e pepe to try the eponymous pasta, spaghetti covered in cheese and black pepper, an example of the simple genius of traditional Roman food.

They have THE most delicious pasta cabonara in the world. Seriously, I ate there four times a week when I was in Rome. It's the best. And the restaurants namesake dish Cacio e Pepe is also delicious, btw.

It's named after a traditional Roman dish. This is one of those restaurants where you pretty much only find locals. It was so good we went there the next day and had exactly the same thing

This is an incredible place, if you'll come in Rome in Summer, try it,!
Good food (special Cacio e Pepe, Gricia, Amatriciana).. small price... in on of the most traditional Osterias of Rome.

Description

A local spot in the Prati neighborhood that's been offering up a cozy atmosphere and tasty traditional, homemade Italian dishes since 1984. Ask the staff what's on special for the evening, but be sure to sneak the house dish, the cheesy peppery pasta of the name, into your order somewhere.
