Situated on the banks of the Shotover River this aesthetic B&B sports one of the best outlooks in Queenstown. Trelawn is overstuffed with charming nick-naks like antique store on steroids but this all seems to add to the rustic charm. The owners are friendly and passionate about their property and it shows in the attention to detail of the rooms. Honeymooners will appreciate the romantic feel of the cottage with its outstanding views and roaring fire. The spa pool is worth the tariff alone with perhaps the best view of any hot pool in Queenstown. Overlooking the Shotover River it's an idyllic place to cleanse the soul after a day of adventure. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the old minor who's been seen roaming around the 1880's era minors hut on the edge of the property, but don't be surprised if you don't catch a good view of him, he is a ghost after all.

Trelawn Place is magnificently situated about 5 minutes scenic drive from central Queenstown. It’s perched on a plateau on the edge of the Shotover River with stunning views down the valley to Coronet Peak ski field. The communal hot tub alone is worth staying here for – it’s located right on the edge of the plateau above the same views – heaven! You can choose from a B&B rooms or a self catering cottage or apartment set in a lovely grassy rose filled garden. There’s lots of lovely spaces throughout the garden for having a BBQ or just hanging out & reading a book. While the rooms weren’t bad, everything was a little squished in and I found the room décor to be a little overdone for my simple tastes. It was a bit too bold, bright and brassy - but maybe that’s just me - my mum would probably love it!

Trelawn Place has an amazing location above the Shotover river. The main view from the house is the river with the ski field in the back gound. The ski field is 12 minutes away by car. I have been to several weddings on the property, and find it a relaxing place to visit.
