I have a weakness for cute cafes and desserts. Honestly, the place is a lil pricey, but I feel like I could spend a whole day here. When we first walked into the cafe, it seemed pretty small.. but ... read more
then we were led outside and were seated at a long table with a FIREPLACE IN THE MIDDLE! There's also a fountain and lights and music and heaters and everything is so cute aka its a perfect place to camerawhore. I tried this korean herbal tea, which tasted a bit funky, but I liked it. It has a very strong aftertaste. I also ate some of the waffle and ice cream, which was pretty standard. I mean, I don't think you can go wrong with waffles and ice cream and fruit. The strawberry shaved ice seemed a lil watery, though. The lady who was helping us was especially nice, so that's always a plus for me. Walking into the cafe, we felt transported right into the middle of a korean drama.. we all had gasps of "ooh's" and "aah's" at the pretty sights and desserts. Its worth a visit!

This place is a dealception! Between 10pm-12am, there's a BOGO drink deal. Combine that with $5 AYCE tacos on Tuesdays with a purchase of a drink, and it looks like you've got a pretty solid night ... read more
ahead of you. I got some type of skinny margarita, which was pretty strong and not too sugary sweet, which I actually prefer. Only the first round of tacos came with rice and beans. Its not the tastiest tacos I've tried, but I suppose it suppressed the hunger monster. The service isn't the greatest, and its definitely a loud, poppin environment! With lights on lights, music galore, and multiple tellys, Cabo can definitely lead to a fun night. My only quip- one bathroom. Bars need more than just one bathroom!!!!

decide what to order from looking at the extensive menu. I would think that ordering the Syrup favorite, which was the mixed berry liege waffle, would not be a let-down, but I was not impressed. The blackberry jasmine ice cream and berries were mildly sweet, the waffle was okay, the wait was long, and the atmosphere was meh. There also weren't many desserts out on display, which is what I was looking forward to. They have a large menu of mostly crepes and different types of waffles. I'm not sure what the differences between the different kinds of waffles were, and I wish they could clarify that on the menu. The Syrup Favorite was not a good first impression, and I'm not sure when I would be back to give them a second chance at another impression.

here and hung out for awhile drinking and listening to the live band. I can see why too! What use to be one of the oldest ski resorts has been turned into a cute restaurant that sits up on a hill overlooking the town of Truckee. It's gorgeous. What more can you ask for with good food, wine and friends? If I were to go again, I'd skip the entrees (I had the halibut special) and just order appetizers and dessert!!
