Great little diner tucked inside a book store. A varied menu of American favorites, many with a vegetarian twist (e.g., vegan cashew chili). A nice spot to hang out for a bit and enjoy a little comfort food as you watch the rain come down onto Newbury Street. The staff are incredible friendly. Free wi-fi.

The best corned beef hash on the planet. Go to Boston to eat this dish. You will be truly satisfied.

The Trident is a Boston institution. An independent bookstore, its cafe serves salads, breakfast, and various other basic but fresh and delicious food. A great place to browse, buy, and then sit down with your new book for some tea and something.

This little spot is a bibliophile's dream come true! Buy a new book and sit and enjoy your meal. The Breakfast here can get really crowded on the weekend.

For book lovers that require some decent sustenance before perusing the shelves, Trident is the perfect place to check out. They have an extensive brunch and lunch menu - I've tried a really good veggie burger here, and the sandwiches are excellent as well. They also have a well rounded tea and coffee selection (great chai tea lattes!)....enjoy a cup and then head over to their shelves of books. Trident sells new and used books.

Classic. The kind of book seller that rarely exists anymore. Browse the aisles, buy something, settle in with a beer, eat some chips. Carl made me feel right at home when he saw my Detroit t-shirt, going back into the shelves and emerging with their last copy of a book about Detroit. Border's was Michigan-based and they would've never done something like that. Plus, Trident has PBR tall boys;)

This was an accidental and lucky find this AM. Just happened to ask a local while walking on Newbury St. It was wonderful! For me (for breakfast), things don't have to be fancy and unique. It was just perfectly good and comfortable. The fact that it was wrapped around a classic old-style bookstore added to the the allure.

Bustling spot good for grabbing a bite to eat. You'll have to bob and weave through seas of people in order to get your coffee order filled but it's certainly a vibrant spot and widely considered one of the best coffee shop-bookstores in the city. Also, FREE wifi spot!

A fun bookstore! I really loved the atmosphere of this place. It's certainly a nice step up from your Barnes and Noble with Starbucks Cafe combo. Their breakfast and brunch are the meals to come here for.
