A good all-rounder of a hotel. Hotel Troya is based in Pera, just moments from the buzzing shopping street, Istiklal Ave, and the restaurant-filled lanes of Beyoglu. It’s quite a large hotel but with a warm feel. The biggest downside is the rooms, which aren’t particularly spacious but they’re nicely done up and feel clean and new. The hotel has a restaurant on the roof with some good city views and it also has a fitness room and sauna.Recommended for:

When my inlaws visited us in Istanbul, we had them stay at Troya Hotel in Pera. Our one major complaint was that much of the hotel was undergoing renovations at that time but it was definitely worth it as today's Troya is modern and gleaming. The hotel is set in Pera alongside some of the nicest stone buildings in Beyoglu. Troya has convenient access to Istiklal Street and Taksim Square. The rooms are on the small side but comfortable. The staff is very friendly and my inlaws raved about the authentic Turkish buffet breakfast each morning. Troya also handled my inlaw's transportation to and from the airport, saving them from the confusion of catching the Havas shuttle bus. For all of this service, the price was a steal.Recommended for:

Hotel Troya is comfortable and its being situated in Tepebaşı, very close to both Galata & Tünel area and the Square is a big advantage. It is like being in the midpoint of Istiklal Avenue. Its rooftop restaurant offers interesting programmes of live music – Turkish and Greek style popular music, mostly. In the mornings, it appeals to non-customers as well, with its reasonably priced breakfast menu (and wonderful view!).
Having a view of the Golden Horn, like many old time celebrities who stayed in the area in the 19th century had, is quite an experience.
Convenient, clean and comfortable with all the desired amenities including a meeting room and the terrace restaurant fit for celebrations, Troya Hotel is more suited to the needs of the business visitor than of the trendster.Recommended for:

Just like any number of decent, quality hotels anywhere in the world, Troya offers a comfortable room, a wide array of amenities and good service. I found the hotel a bit too bland for my taste, generic in a really nice way. I loved the big room, divided into a sitting room and a bed room, and I’m always a fan of any spa facilities, in this case the sauna. Breakfast was in an enclosed room that obviously doubled as a conference room – a bit stuffy for me, but I guess it’s normally served on a really nice terrace that just happened to be closed for renovations when I was there. I was also a bit disappointed in the location for transportation options, but the Taksim area is just around the corner, with its lively atmosphere, entertainment and restaurants at all hours.Recommended for:

This clean and luxury hotel, named after the city of Troy, is located next to Taksim and the Pera Museum. The hotel overlooks the Golden Horn and has been newly renovated. The lobby is covered in white marble and clean, minimalist furniture. There is a nice bar/lounge with big comfy chairs. The rooms are very clean, with light golden, wooden floors, big cozy beds, a desk, and private bathroom. The bathrooms were very nice and even had a rain shower! Standard rooms come with double beds or twin beds. One of my favorite aspects of each room was that lights could be turned on by touching a small screen on the wall! The terrace on the top of the hotel is wonderful! There is a view of the Golden Horn, overlooking centuries old mosques, and Taksim square and one of its many churches. On the weekends, there is live music, and every morning there is breakfast for about 8 or 9 TL. The staff is super friendly! They were excited about my visit and were eager to share their lovely hotel with me.Recommended for:
