    Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum

    45 reviews

Prepare for an hour's drive and a good deal of walking but well worth it. They have a very nice cafe for lunch and a nice gift shop when you're finished touring the mostly outdoor museum. I recommend going early so you arrive at 8:30am when they open.

    Saguaro National Park

    30 reviews

I loved being able to walk the trails here, and to be able to get up close to the saguaro cactus and other desert plants. You just need to be on the constant lookout for rattle snakes when you're here.

Team spirit is fun on-campus. Tailgate parties can get lively. Watch for free weekend events such as the book fair. They had a live eagle there last year.

Worth the drive downtown, and when you're done, you can go to Mi Nidito on 4th Avenue for delicious and authentic Mexican food. My favorite Mexican restaurant in all of Tucson.

    Old Tucson Studios

    12 reviews

Pretty cool, they built Old Tucson as a Movie set, and used it for several old western movies. They have 'gunfights' in the streets, a few 'bar brawls' here and there and horses tied to the hitching posts in the streets.

You can spend many hours at this zoo. It has many animals, my favorite is the black panther and the polar bear. Though I love the otter and the birds too. Go and see it, spend the entire day.

Try driving up Sentinel Peak at night to catch some amazing city lights! During the day you can see all of the mountain ranges surrounding Tucson (and there are a lot) from the top of this urban peak.
