Another one of Frank Sinatra’s favorite spots, Twin Anchors is largely known today for its tasty ribs and its cameo in The Dark Knight. Regardless of whether you’re eating or not, it’s still a great spot to enjoy a drink and the charming nautical theme. A secret escape door still remains in the southwest corner of the bar to this day.Recommended for:

this is definitely off the beaten path but one of the best places in town.
come for the ribs, stay for beer and atmosphere. food is solid, i'd go half rack and creamed spinach if i were you. and expect to wait if you're going on the weekend!
dark knight scenes were filmed here, frank sinatra hung out here...it's just cool - go see it!

This isn't the kind of place you'd find when you're just wandering around. If you're lucky, a friend would tip you off. Get off the Brown Line at Sedgeweick, walk north to Eugene, and sit in the first booth to the left in the back room. Sinatra's personal phone box is still there. Try the Prohibition Sauce.
