A great cultural show highlighting the history of Polynesia through music and dance. Offered on Monday through Friday. Three types of seating: standard in the back, premium seating in the middle and VIP seating in the front with the opportunity to meet the cast after the show. Dinner packages available at nearby restaurants. 4 hours of validated parking. Beverages and popcorn available at the concession. Family friendly entertainment and not a bad seat in the house!

We enjoyed this show. The singing was great, the costumes were nice. It was a good way to get a taste of the local culture. Not sure I would put it on my "must do" list for Maui, but if you are looking to do something cultural that is not a Luau, this is a good option. We brought our 2 year old daughter who loved it.

This show is wonderful! Beautiful music, elegant dancers, amazing drumming contribute to a wonderful evening sharing the history of the islands and Polynesia. Check with the ladies in Maui Sights and Treasures at Sugar Beach Resort for a dinner and show package. Go to the early dinner so you can dine oceanfront then enjoy the show afterward. A must see!

My 10yo daughter says, "It's amazing! My favorite character is the boar." Her class just participated in a field trip to Lahaina last week to see the acclaimed show. What an incredible experience for them!

This show is incredible. It has great dance performers and amazing live music and vocals. The show gives you some Hawaii history while your blown away by the entertainment. I think the best thing I like about this show though is the slight audience interaction that takes place through out it. It is totally worth seeing

Two of my long-time friends with homes on Maui urged me to head to Lahaina to see 'Ulalena during my stay on-island in July of 2011. The costumes, the vocals, the music, and the staging of this Hawaiian historic pageant was stunning, and the aerial acts bring home the meaning "working without a net."
If you've seen and liked Cirque du Soleil shows, you'll love 'Ulalena, too. The post-show question & answer period with the cast will give you behind-the-scenes insights to the performance you have just seen and is well worth the small add-on to the ticket cost for VIP seating.
A dinner package gives you a choice of dining before or after the show at one of five restaurants in Lahaina and should save you some money on buying show tickets and dinner separately. VIP seating for the show is included. I highly recommend choosing David Paul's Island Grill (see my separate Gogobot.com review) where I dined after seeing 'Ulalena.
