This was the library in Dublin I wanted to see the most as I love old books. It's tiny and full of supremely old books of every shape and size. When I visited they had an exhibit of books detailing maps and stories from when America was just being explored. The staff were even more delightful - completely willing to ...

Right behind the Saint Patrick's Cathedral is a beautiful park which unlike the Cathedral itself is free for all to enjoy! I recommend stopping in at the cafe "Bite of Life" right next to the park to grab a drink, snack or lunch and have a picnic in the park. Very nice!

The plain exterior of the Guinness Storehouse belies the incredible exhibits within. The self-guided tour takes you from the ingredients to the brewing process to the advertising used over the years for this iconic brand. The highlight is when the tour becomes interactive, with lessons on how to detect the individual tastes of the beer, how to properly drink one, ...

The area is ful of pubs, bars and nightlie. A great place to eat drink and be merry! A hotel right in this section will be very cosmopolitan. We stayed 6 blocks away for a quieter sleep. For a castle in the north? I will be waiting on YOUR reviews!

Maybe it was just the post-Christmas excitement, but it was a lot of fun to see everyone out and about. Mixed in with the shops are some of Dublin's oldest pubs, O'Donoghue's, Bruxellies, and McNeery,s.

Absolutely incredible exhibit. Covers more than just the Book of Kellls and also shows videos of artisans recreating the texts. The information about the whole process of creating these books was fascinating.

As a fan of the whiskey, and especially the refreshing Jameson's, a visit here was like paying homage to my mecca. The tour is informative and interesting. There is a bar right here onsite (no kidding) and we had the most delicious and possibly most authentically made Irish coffee here. Cheers!

The Spire of Dublin, alternatively titled the Monument of Light is a large, stainless steel, pin-like monument 398 ft in height, located on the site of the former Nelson's Pillar on O'Connell Street in Dublin, Ireland. It looks like it is pinching the sky/clouds at times. Pretty cool. Established in 2003.

This cast iron pedestrian bridge was built in 1816, and features in many postcards of Dublin. It's official name "Liffey Bridge" is hardly every used, and the name Ha'Penny comes from the toll placed on crossing it for pedestrians, when it was first built. It was renovated in 2001 so hopefully it will survive another 200 years.

Free museum with a lot of archeological artifacts from Pre-historic, Viking and the middle ages. Interesting, although there is not as much explanation as I would have liked to understand what you were seeing. Worth an hour.

Most Dubliners don't know about this public park. It's about five minutes from the beautiful but crowded St. Stephen's Green. On a warm day you'll see people sunbathing and eating lunch on the grass. The last time I was there I noticed that some people will nod knowingly at you, a gesture of the sort you'd expect to see from ...
