The time to go is the night market on Wednesdays! Great food! Great music! Great time! If you are visiting the region this is the place to really connect with the culture and aloha on the Big Island.

Great to sit local-style under the twinkly lights at the bar and enjoy local kava or beer/wine. On Wednesday nights, Uncle Robert hosts a large farmer's market with lots of delicious local cuisine to enjoy while you watch hula dancers backed by live Hawaiian music.

This is our headquarters where LAVA tours check in and this is our HOME! Itʻs actually called, "Uncle Robertʻs Awa Club." Itʻs fun anyway or night - especially Wednesday nights if you like music, food, and interesting people! Live Hawaiian music starts promptly at 5 PM and is pau (finished) at 9 PM ... but the party never ends there! Must bring ALOHA. www.kalapanaculturaltours.com (808) 936-0456

Just 7 miles south of our home is Uncle Robert's Kava Bar, which, on Wednesday evenings, comes alive with local chef's serving their famous dishes, the sound of slack guitar and ukulele, and the chatter of locals. Local musicians take to the stage at 9 p.m.
