    Desert Safari Dubai

    34 reviews

The desert is a must visit. Anything involving a camel that lasts more than 30 minutes is pretty painful. Dubai is a great place to enjoy a luxurious desert get away -- tented camp, open fire, great local food served on carpets.. and maybe a little champagne.

Marina Walk is nice, but I imagine when all the construction is finished (yeah, right) it will be a fantastic place to visit. A great place for a nice jog.

    Dubai Creek

    9 reviews

The creek is the heart and soul of the "old" city and is the center of the action for anyone seeking to discover Dubai's cultural heritage. Take a ride on an abra, visit the nearby souks (on both sides of the river), and sail along to catch a fading glimpse of the "real" Dubai.

    Town Square

    3 reviews

The Town Square is a wide open, old-fashion pedestrain only meeting place in the middle of Al Ain, your far more than average, atypical desert oasis. The square is like the town itself, progressive, international and friendly. Indian, Thai, Philippino, Lebanese, and Chinese food all available for your dining pleasure at Town Square.

    Musandam Governorate

    2 reviews

A trip to the Musandam Peninsula is a popular outing from the Emirates. Technically this little point of land is part of Oman, though it's surrounded on all sides by the UAE. It's a rugged desert coastline, fringed with little inlets, and the standard trip is a dhow ride around for the afternoon. The view itself is lovely, and the ...

    Liwa Oasis

    1 review

I grew up in a desert, but not the kind of desert you see in movies, that big, swooping duney desert. So it was really thrilling to head out to Liwa and see the terrain slowly change into this amazing scenery that truly was like a movie. About 45 minutes outside Liwa town is a _giant_ dune, and the drive ...
