    Food For Thought

    10 reviews

Little vegetarian restaurant near Covent Garden with delicious food. It gets cramped if you sit down but it is a great place to take out food.

    NOPI

Ottolenghi is good, but Nopi is better, in my opinion. I managed to make a booking for the downstairs communal table and I really like the elegant table setting. Nopi serves small dishes, which I love, because I can sample so many different flavors at one meal. The menu here seems to be changing very frequently if not daily. The ...

An amazing find in London, a cyclists/commuter's dream come true. Starting your day and need coffee? Stop here. Midway through your day and need lunch and more coffee? Stop here. Winding down your day and want a beer or glass of wine? Stop here. You get my point. You actually don't need any of those reasons to stop here, other ...

    Cay Tre: The Vietnamese Kitchen

I was in a fish mood when we came here before a musical. The monkfish with peppers was delicious, as was the coconut curry chicken. The atmosphere is hip London, in the middle of Soho. Friendly staff, too.

    Dinner by Heston Blumenthal

Mr. Burrell was searching for a great, typically British restaurant recommendation and this is his top choice. "Why? Because it is not ridiculously expensive and all the recipes are taken from ancient English cook books. He also owns my local pub and the food there is wonderfully good value!"

    Barrafina

The fantastic quality tapas at this tiny, personable restaurant in Soho is well worth the wait and the moderately expensive price. Whilst you wait to be seated at the counter (there are no reservations) you can enjoy a snack and drink and watch the action in the kitchen - before the real fun begins. The menu features Spanish classics, often ...

    The Wells Tavern

The best gastro-pub in north london, IMHO. The food is outstanding. Its set on well walk, one of the older streets in a very old part of town - take the little cobblestone lane off the high street just down from the tube. This place is popular, so make reservations.

    Boundary

If there really are two London's Redchurch Street spans them both from Brick Lane to Shoreditch High Street. A destination in itself Redchurch Street boasts stores like Aesop and A.P.C along with independent galleries and coffee shops. At the head of the street sits Boundary and it's coffee cousin, Albion. Boundary is a hotel and has a lovely roof garden ...

    Holly Bush

    4.5
    7 reviews

The Holly Bush has a really friendly and cozy atmosphere, especially with all the old men in their hats and scarfs at the bar (It was a rainy day). I ate a steak and ale pie and drank a pint of London Pride here. The mustardy mashed potatoes in the pie were absolutely delicious. I'm still trying to recreate the ...

    Maison Bertaux

The best of Britain and France together. French pastries (and scones, if you want to go full British) and tea make this charming cafe in the middle of Soho a fabulous stop for an afternoon bite. Order at the counter (no menu, just point at what looks good), which looks like it was designed by your French antique-loving quirky aunt.

    The River Café

A London culinary institution perhaps now better known for its range of best-selling cook books than the restaurant itself; amongst others celebrity chef Jamie Oliver cut his teeth here. Ingredients are flown in fresh every day, so you'd be hard-pressed to find a more adventurous and flavour-packed Italian menu outside of Italy. The kitchen is integrated with the restaurant, so ...

    Amaya

Amaya is best described as high-end Indian fusion food. Traditional north-Indian flavors but prepared with a unique, modern twist and beautifully presented. Great date night spot. One of my favorite restaurants in London!

Amazing, authentic northern Indian in an upscale restaurant near Picadilly. We tried a lot of Indian places in London, and this was definitely one of our favorites.
