    NOPI

    8 reviews

This was one of the most brilliant meals I have ever had in London, or anywhere. The flavors of the food were extraordinary, and the wine list was outstanding. Service was impeccable and I would rank this as one of my best dining experiences ever. Which is saying a lot because I've eaten in a lot of great places.

The Blue Legume - Upper St.

    3 reviews

Great place for a quick meal, always a table handy without much of a wait and a nice diverse menu. Would much rather patronize the Blue Legume than any of the high street chains dotting Upper St.

    Ottolenghi - Notting Hill

    3 reviews

Ottolenghi is a semi chain... there are multiple locations. I've been to the ones in Islington, Kensington and Notting HIll. All have really good food. There a mix of sit down service and takeaway. Lot of the food is pre-made and put out for view. It's all fresh mediterranean with good selection of salads, sandwiches and desserts.

Great family restaurant within the London commuting belt. Exotic meats, great calamari and pasta dishes. Nice ambience, good people. Enjoy.

    10 Greek Street

    2 reviews

Lovely place for honest well executed "grown up" food. Expect to find, Razor Clams, Rabbit and even Hare along with roast poussin and wild mushroom risotto on the often changing menu here. Short but comprehensive wine list where nearly everything is available by the glass or half bottle, all the wines are very good value, by which I mean most ...

    The Corner Room

    1 review

18/20; Food 9/10, Ambience 4/5, Service 5/5. Casual offshoot of Nuno Mendes' kitchen in the hyper-cool Town Hall Hotel. The same fusion deconstructed ingredients approach as the Michelin starred Viajante downstairs, all to delicious effect. Gorgeously presented dishes on the compact menu vary often, with creative and unusual combinations that all seem to work really well. The added bonus that ...

    Negociants

You will find nothing but good old fashioned cafe culture in Negotiants. Giant cups of hot chocolate, a good choice of coffees & teas, nice food at reasonable prices and a quiet ambience.

    Quayside Plaza

I must confess that I have not indulged in a luncheon or evening meal here however I went back time and time again for what must be the best breakfast in Great Yarmouth. This place is bit of a hidden gem in the fact that it never seems to be busy in the mornings which is bizarre as it has ...

    Lounge Bar and Restaurant

I like the small scale and stripped-down atmosphere at Lounge, which is equally good for reading the paper or working on the Internet during the day or eating a decently-priced supper and having a drink in the evening. They have a rotating collection of artworks as well.

    Oxo Tower Brasserie

Cheaper version of the Oxo Tower restaurant. Not overly romantic, but nice place to meet friends or for business.

    Jamie's Italian

Weird fusion of British and Italian. Blame Jamie Olivier. That said, the food is decent and decently priced. Wine is reasonable as well. Cocktails at the bar are dodgy (had the worst and weirdest Cosmopolitan ever there) and the acoustics are terrible. But you could do a lot worse.

    Le Cochonnet

    1 review

Surprisingly good food, quick place for a bite to eat. They seem to have trouble keeping the tables clean, but that might just be the turnover.

    Caprice Restaurant

    1 review

Went here with colleagues after deciding the Somers Town Coffee House was too crowded on a Friday night. The food was a lovely surprise and the service was very friendly. Wine list was decent. But the real joy was the best grilled halloumi in London.
