    Glyndebourne

    5
    2 reviews

Great opera house near Lewes. Men are in black tie, women usually similarly attired. Best for light opera (Cosi Fan Tutte, Rake's Progress, Fairie Queen), but has done more ambitious things as well, including a world renown production of Guilio Cesare. Definitely worth a day trip. Opera train is good, but there's also value in staying over.

Explore the streets, which are bustling with activity and the buildings with their quirky edge. The area offers the convenience and high-style living of neighbouring Kensington and Chelsea, but with a more arty and less pretentious feeling. This arty and fashionable area is most popular amongst quirky up and coming artists and unique, stylish individuals as well as the rich ...

With more than 7 million objects on display in its 2 miles of corridors there is something for everyone at the British Museum. You can explore objects like the Elgin Marbles, the Rosetta Stone, Egyptian mummies, Samurai armor, and the Portland Vase. I would highly suggest the 30 minute free eyeOpener tour.

I was pleasantly surprised by the bar at the shard and with the family enjoyed a few cocktails in a calm surrounding with amazing simple design and of course the best views of London. I am not a fan of the shard but from here you don't see it blighting the London skyline!

Fancy lounge bar/restaurant in Mayfair, very close to Regent Street. Went there for drinks with friends and the only bar open to the public was a dark cave, which looked like an igloo. Might sound weird but it was actually very nice! Drinks are just fine and pretty expensive, but you pay for the "brand".

Really cool and laid back cocktail place hidden in Shoreditch. It has somewhat of an Asian inspired decor. As the place is quite long and narrow, it has several sections. Closer to the entrance, it is great for larger group to have afterwork drinkers. As you walk all the way to the back, there are several coach areas perfect for ...
