Like every other Urth Caffe, this one sports long lines and delicious pastries. Parking is difficult due to the area but the area is busy and it's a great place to sit down and chat while you people watch. The small patio area with fountain at this location is also very pleasant and provides a little more privacy from the street.

This popular coffee house is perfect for coffee and light meals! The coffee is probably the best in town; the pastries, sandwiches and breakfast are mostly prepared with organic products and are absolutely delicious. Service is often inattentive and slow.

Have to give this place 5 stars despite the craziness of the ordering line. Dining in line intersects with the take away line. After placing your order at the counter, there is someone available to seat you. Had lunch here with 5 other people. Everthing that was ordered was fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. This is an orgainc cafe. We all enjoyed our meals and the desserts were incredible, New York style cheese cake was one of the best I have ever had.

Great cafe to go to. The only negative thing about it is that it's getting very popular so it's usually crowded. A large variety of coffee and tea drinks and an eclectic selection of food.

The Urth Cafe is Santa Monica has a bit of a more beachy feeling than the others, and is one of my favorites due to the adorable courtyard in the back. Like all Urths, the coffee is fair trade and what I would consider good (I am no expert) and the food is perfect for a light lunch. They have tons of vegetarian, gluten free, vegan options and you have a high chance of seeing someone famous, if that is on your LA bucket list.

**DAMN GOOD COFFEE. PERIOD.**
For the record, I normally don't drink coffee.
But I have been lacking sleep during my travels.
So I ordered the Spanish Latté Granita ($4.75), their most famous blended ice drink, however instead of an ice drink, they made it into a regular hot beverage.
Still, it was creamy and sweet and it hit the spot.
IT WAS GOOD.
To-go line was quick on a Saturday morning.
There was a long line for brunch.
WILL RETURN for the food. And another cup of coffee.

Urth Caffe is one of my favorite stops in Santa Monica. It's located downtown and sometimes parking can be a pain.
They have a huge selection of food and coffee and baked goods. All of their baked goods are extremely fresh so I would recommend a little tart here and some pieces of pie there. Their brioche pudding was one of the best I've had. I also recommend their coffees as you can get almond milk there (so rare!) which is very tasty.
Finally, their food!! Their food is awesome, and they have everything from burgers to something that will satisfy your vegetarian side even if you're not a vegetarian.
