I ended up checking out early but not because of this hostel, but rather I didnt like Punta del Diablo very much. The hostel itself is great. It looks like a bed and breakfast and they have a variety of different room types that attract a large range of guests. The hostel seems like it is family run and the ...Popular with

I booked this hotel because it was relatively cheap and I booked the hotel for Montevideo Carnival. I made a pretty last minute trip and they had availability so this hotel probably doesnt get that full. The hotel is an excellent location- walking distance to the main street in Montevideo. The Four Points is currently one of the nicer hotel ...Popular with

Amazing hotel and service, and location. Its about 15 minutes from the center of Colonia, and the whole surroundings are so peaceful. It has a heated swimming pool which is indoor but is connected also to an outdoor section which has a magnificent atmosphere during a cold night. The whole place is just great to relax, and then you can ...Popular with

This hotel had lovely, well-appointed, spacious rooms and ours had an awesome view of the Rio de la Plata and La Rambla. The staff was also very nice and helpful. The location is not really in the center of things, but there are some nice restaurants and shopping areas within a short walk.

All aspects of experience are top notch, 5 stars does not do it justice at all. Absolutely in a class by itself.

This hotel was really lovely. Built in two colonial homes situated around a central courtyard filled with jasmine and other flowers, it was a relaxing and charming place to stay. The staff was very helpful and nice and the rooms were well appointed.

Business and Pleasure should not be mixed.” I stayed here in January 2009 for NYE and reviews on other sites are very mixed but this was my experience. The room rate seems hugely off the mark as well or maybe I was just a soft touch. When you arrive in such an amazing place as Jose Ignacio your expectations of ...

Unless you are from Argentina or Uruguay, or have a major sweet tooth, you might not be able to comprehend the obsession with dulce de leche and obsession with tea-time. Chances are however, that after starving waiting for dinner at midnight, you will start indulging in this sugar attack at 5pm. L'Auberge is a somewhat stuffy, Englishy looking place, where ...

I want to be honest and tell you that I cannot rate this from personal experience but it has been recommended by many. It is been beautifully restored and has a modern boutique feel to it.

Despite the old facade and lobby, the rooms are nice, renovated, with box type beds and split air conditioners. And you can still get a room overlooking the plane trees and the sea. Good location and service. Not expensive.

I only ended up at the "Hanging Gardens" because there was a snafu with the hostel I originally booked. Long story short, I found out it was closed the day I got there and had to scramble for a different place. The Hanging Gardens is a recently refurbished hostel with an ideal location, right in Ciudad Vieja, with cafes, restaurants ...Popular with
