Usaquen was a former town that has been swallowed up by the urban growth of Bogota. You can still get a cool village feel around what used to be the town center. The small market/mall has a nice assortment of handy-craft stores and cafes.Recommended for:Local Culture

I stayed in Usaquen for two weeks at a friends house. It's an upscale neighbourhood with big mansions, trees and parks. The central plaza is animated and there are a couple pedestrian streets, multiple restaurants and bars. It is also very safe and I was not afraid to just walk around by myself. There are not that many lodging options around, but one that looked nice is the Art Suites on Cra 5 #117-07. There is also a public market on Sundays which is nice.Recommended for:Luxury Travelers

Okay, so I a tech geek, I fell in love with this place. The place I was staying in the second time while in Bogotá was right across the street. I took a walk there and feel in love with all the electronics. The only drawback was there was no Apple Products.
This is great place for tech geeks to go. Around is a lot the youth hanging outside as well.

Cute little 'hood in northern Bogota, with a central square, Sunday market, and various restaurants and bars. It feels much more real than Parque 93 and the Zona Rosa, and is a nice change from the sometimes too bohemian Candelaria.
