make it a full week of fun, especially if you have kids in different ages. one park every day is the way to go.
it's an impressive zoo for sure, and has got all the animals you ever wanted to see. however we went there with very young kids and the walk was too difficult for them, with all the ups and downs they really couldn't make it thru the whole place at one time. also some of the displays are very large in size, which i assume is better life quality for the animals, but makes it harder to see them.
the statue is impressive, and the view is unbelievable!
Oh i loved this place. It's so impressive, looming large, with all those strange grotesque figures hanging from roof corners and the huge bell tower - i could totally imaging the Hunchback looking down back at us from the shadows. and yes, the stained glass windows are beautiful, too :)
this is a pretty straight replica of Disneyland in California, and as such is good, except everything's in French... which didn't quite work for me (i never imagined Mickey or Cinderella as French-speaking characters).
personally i don't think i'd ever come back as i had the misfortune of visiting there with my sister on 9/11... i guess that experienced pretty much soured this place for me, for good. but if this is the only Disney park you're ever likely to visit, than you shouldn't miss it.
by far, my most favorite city park in the whole wide world. i spent many a happy weekend mornings picnicing, strolling, bicycling, playing, ice skating or just lying on the grass staring at the sky, feeling all's well in my world. Sunny June days were a solid reason to play hookey from work for a couple of hours, take a book and my lunch, and get some real quality time done :)
also it's very short walking distance from other favorites (museum of natural history!)
The "Deer Forest" (Ya'ar Ha'ayalim) is an awesome attraction for families with young kids & pre-teens. There's tons of stuff to do -- from the guided tour watching the different deer families, to the lovely petting zoo, to parent-guided pony rides, to trampolines and jumpers -- my kids loved the place. there are also well-equipped camping grounds.
neighboring activities include self-serve berry harvest (in season) and a beautiful winery. and of course in winter time this is just 15 minutes away from the Hermon mountain & the snow... great place overall!
