Beautiful views of the lake and passing ships. Less crowded than the French Quarter location. Get the crab claws if their on the menu. Caesar salad is fab too. Bananas Foster will make you cry, order only a half unless you have a second stomach.
With all the charm of Decatur, skip Bubba Gump next door and get some real Southern food here. Order the roast duck and top it off with one of their in-house brews. The second floor balcony is a fab place to watch the river from.
I agree with Anne Rice when she said the look of the restaurant doesn't fit in with Uptown New Orleans, but the food at Copeland's is a tradition. Get the Chicken Parm and Fried Bow Tie pasta. Leave room for dessert, and get the $10 Banana Split that can feed 3 people....more
