What a wonderful museum. I hope it makes it through the bankruptcy without loosing it's soul or pieces. The pride of the museum is Diego Rivera's mural. You cannot miss this on your visit to the Motor City.

An interesting part of the city of Detroit. What used to be a posh place to hang out on the weekend has, like the rest of the city, suffered some decay and neglect over the years. That still makes it no less wonderful - a great place to picnic or get a view of the buildings of downtown....more
What's the point of this? The monorail that goes in circles (in one direction), which barely anyone rides. I hope that Detroit experiences the deserved long-coming regeneration, and that the People Mover fulfils its promise. There are talks of extending it or connecting it to light rail up...more
