So, this is a certain type of pizza. It's thin crust with the kind of cheese that turns that lvoely golden brown if baked for long enough. You can get fried, breaded eggplant on top, or pineapple and jalepeno. This is not gourmet pizza, this is pizza that tastes really roog sober and AMAZING after a few beers.
They also have sandwiches, just as tasty as the pizzas but with a much lower calorie count, so it will leave you a little lighter than the pizza. Conversely, your wallet will be a bit heavier, as the sandwiches are a tad cheaper than the pizza.
Lines here are often out the door, so be prepared to wait a bit if it's a popular night.
This is by far the best co-working space in Los Angeles. The people are nice, the location is fantastic, and the prices are very reasonable.
Located along the Goldline, this place is 2 minutes by train form Union Station, which makes it only about 20 minutes from Hollywood or Pasadena. There are lots of restaurants around, including a nice Vietnamese cafe and a cheap Thai restaurant a few blocks down on Alpine.
There is also a good vibe here. Things don't get too loud, but you don't feel like you're in a library either. People tend to go out for Happy Hour once a week, and there are often events here after working hours (9am-6pm) and sometimes workshops or activities during lunch. Yoga, anyone? How about learning some tips to get your start-up off the ground?
Versailles was my first exposure to Cuban cuisine. At the time, my favorite was the ground beef with it's amazing combination of spices. The bread here is great, as are the plantains. I've now stick to a mostly vegetarian diet, which leaves me with two options here: rice and beans with yucca, plantains and a salad or moros (mixed rice and beans) plantains and a salad. I wouldn't eat here everyday with such few options, but I really enjoy it the few times per year I do go.
This is my go-to place in Little Ethiopia. They have a $6.99 lunch special that is a great deal, and always quick and friendly service, There are tastier places around, but for the money this is the best.
Great food here, and they are right off the Goldline, about a 20 minute ride from downtown. Their veggie curry and potpies are my absolute favorites.
