Gremio is one of the biggest soccer teams in Brazil and this is their new stadium, that got finished in late 2012. Unfortunately for some reason that I don't understand this stadium won't be used in the world cup in 2014.
This place is a classic. No visit to Porto Alegre is complete without spending a few hours at the Public Market. There you can find anything from spices to fish and esoteric stuff, its a great place to walk around and have lunch or a coffee.
This is a great area although not very safe in downtown Porto Alegre. Surrounded by big and old buildings this area is full of history and its vibrant with people coming and going all the time. Its a nice place to walk around, just be aware of your surroundings....more
One of the most traditional Churrascarias in Porto Alegre. Their churrasco is really good and the setting is also very cool in a rustic style. I have some good memories going to this place when I was younger.
