Kitsilano Beach
Kitsilano Beach, Arbutus Street, Vancouver, BC, Canada
Gogobot Editors' Choice's rating: 5

Kitsilano Beach is probably the closest Canada gets to Los Angeles. A charming beach with a beautiful view, come here to people-watch, soak up the sun and enjoy some nibbles from nearby 4th Avenue. "Kits Beach" is also home to public swimming pools and tennis courts. The BoatHouse restaurant, right on Kits Beach, is a great spot to nab some local seafood.

Occupying nearly 1000 acres, Stanley Park is one of the world's most beautiful urban parks, situated right next to downtown Vancouver. Vancouverites head here to rollerblade, run or cycle the 8.8km seawall that encircles the park and offers up great views of the mountains and English Bay. Stanley Park is home to three (yes, three!) lovely beaches, swimming pools, cafes, restaurants and more hiking trails. You might be lucky enough to spot a family of otters swimming alongside you, a friendly raccoon or any of the thousands of animals that call this park home.

Lynn Canyon Park
North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
Gogobot Editors' Choice's rating: 5

Hop on the SeaBus to the North Shore and make your way up to Lynn Canyon Park. The star of the show is Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge - which is stunning, and unlike nearby Capilano Suspension Bridge, FREE. Experience Vancouver sunshine at its best, with dazzling hiking trails, waterfalls, swimming spots and plenty of picnicking opportunities. There is also a great little cafe and an ecology center at the entrance to the park.

Doubletree Arctic Club Hotel Seattle
700 3rd Ave, Seattle, WA 98104
Gogobot Editors' Choice's rating: 4

This boutique hotel in Seattle was once a private club for gentleman adventurers and Gold Rush tycoons, and that vibe is still reflected in the rooms, featuring steamer trunk side tables. Sip a cocktail next to the absinthe fountain in the Polar Bar. With free wifi and an excellent hotel restaurant in Juno, this is a great base for exploring summer in Seattle.
