A beautiful cathedral considered one of the leading examples of Early English architecture. I thought we just go there to see it - since our main point was Stonehenge - but we spent a couple of hours there.
An impressive prehistoric stone-circle monument. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Still not sure about the meaning and significance of the structure. It is close to Salisbury which is also worth a visit with its beautiful cathedral. Easy to reach with a train from London....more
