Late night snack anybody? Square Pizza stays open until the bars close and fills up with students who want to grab a good pizza before jumping in a taxi.
Boure is the nicest and classiest bar in Oxford. When I was a student there, I enjoyed taking my parents to Boure for really good food downstairs before heading up stairs to indulge in a few drinks on the balcony. Don't wear a t-shirt to this bar.
Best southern food in Oxford. If you are on a diet, this is not the place to eat. If you want a plate full of southern casseroles and pot roast, this is absolutely the place to eat.
Best BBQ in Oxford. Period.
Fun upstairs bar with a balcony that over looks the square. Enjoy some good drink prices with blues and country music. If you know how to swing dance or want to learn how, this is the bar to visit in Oxford.
The Levee is a really fun bar for college age students. It is 18 and up to get in which means that a lot of freshman will attend this bar. Not recommended for older folks, but easily the best bar for 18-22 year olds in Oxford. Many of the OleMiss football players will hang out here as well.
Easily the best bar in Oxford for all ages. Comprised of 3 large bar areas, one sports bar, one band area, and one open air area. The stage/band area will often have a mechanical bull operating, making for some crazy late nights on the square.
Easily, hands down, unarguably the best college football tailgating in the world. Dress nice because guys wear ties and girls wear dresses, but don't be fooled, the grove gets pretty wild.
The best southern style breakfast food in Mississippi. Enjoy some southern hospitality with some over easy eggs and a bloody marry.
Being part of the SEC, OleMiss and Oxford love college football with more enthusiasm than most professional teams world wide. The Vaught is always an exciting atmosphere, win or lose.
Oxford is truly a jewel of the south. The concept of southern hospitality could have been created in this small town full of OleMiss students. Oxford has no crime to speak of, amazing and unique shopping and nightlife on the square, and also a taste of southern outdoors at lake Sardis.
Amazing place with fantastic bars, clubs, and casinos. However, if you are traveling on a budget, I do not recommend visiting this place.
