Alamo
300 Alamo Plaza, San Antonio, TX 78205-2606
JP Kaulmann's rating:

We found it to be a bit anti-climactic (smaller than what we thought). However, the gardens were very lovely and the historical aspect was neat. Probably a must, in a check off your list sort of way, but not something I would need to see a second time.

Berggasthof Schlüssel
Pfaffenberg, Schopfheim, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany
JP Kaulmann's rating:

We absolutely adore this place. It's actually in a little town called Pfaffenberg a few kilometers from Schopfheim but as the app doesn't recognize the town, I had to enter Schopfheim. The views are breathtaking and the food is amongst our favorites in the region. Prices for Guestrooms are also very reasonable. A must if your travels take you this way!

Kraxl Alm Rutesheim
Am Freizeitpark 2, Stuttgart, Germany
JP Kaulmann's rating:

The building is amazing and its obvious every last little detail was carefully considered. Definitely a place to go with the family but get there early because it's always busy. Its probably not fair to compare the food as it's hard to beat the food from our region; however the food here was still pretty good.

citizenM hotel Amsterdam Airport
Janplezierweg 2, 1013GR, The Netherlands
JP Kaulmann's rating:

This hotel is definitely not for everyone. I liked the cruise ship feel and high design. I especially loved the view of the airport taxiways from my room. I would only add that I was a bit disappointed that the Vitra furniture was aesthetically pleasing but functionaldiss effective. The door to the washbasin cabinet screeched something fierce and the sliding doors to the toilet dis not track smoothly. As much as I am sure they paid for it: I'd be asking for a refund. You can find comparable quality at Ikea. Additionally, the breakfast was lacking and expensive for what you get. Save yourself a few bucks and get breakfast over at the airport. CitizenM is only receiving 3 stars mainly for the atmosphere and design.

Prague Hlavni nádraži
Wilsonova, Prague, Czech Republic
JP Kaulmann's rating:

The building was a beauty in its day, I am sure. Now it's a bit run-down and tired: peppered with lots of graffiti. It's not really clearly marked either especially for buses. The inside mall downstairs is rather nice.

Coronado Heights and Spanish Castle
4200 West Coronado Heights Road, Lindsborg, KS 67456-9613
JP Kaulmann's rating:

Very interesting place. Up on a large hill, it has a nice view over the surrounding land. Once inside the "castle" you feel as if you have been transported back in time. The stone hearth and tables/benches help to evoke a medieval atmosphere. Everyone should see it once.

Old Grind
112 N Main St, Lindsborg, KS 67456
JP Kaulmann's rating:

The proprietress of this cozy little coffee house was such a neat lady. We had a lovely chat with her and enjoyed a coffee and steamer respectively. Also worth trying are the Swedish almond cakes. If we make it back this way next time we come to the US, then we will definitely stop in here again!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place!!! Best shakes ever with a wall full of flavors to choose from. A classic style diner is a must when visiting Hutch and the perfect wrap-up to a day at the Cosmosphere!

The San Antonio River Walk
110 Broadway, Suite #500, San Antonio, TX
JP Kaulmann's rating:

Definitely a must. We just loved the walk and the atmosphere. Could maybe be a bit more baby buggy and disabled friendly but that is our only complaint. We will be planning another trip here definitely!!!

Golden Chick
13450 U.S. 183, Austin, TX, United States
JP Kaulmann's rating:

This place rocks! They have the best chicken fingers. The rolls are awesome: I love the hint of sweet to them. The taters and gravy were also good. Now if they would just actually get world famous instead of "almost" world famous. :) if you are in Texas, put this place on your short list!

This place had a really cool selection of western wear. The boots were super cool, but pricey! Definitely a neat place to visit at any rate. Even if you aren't into cowboy boots and hats, it's worth the visit for the experience.

We did not go in the museum but found the surrounding grounds lovely. The only downside was all the stairs which made navigating the baby buggy a bit more challenging.

Rudy's Country Store & BBQ
11570 Research Blvd, Austin, TX 78759
JP Kaulmann's rating:

The service is fantastic! When you are a "rookie" the staff shows you the ropes by teaching you how to order and giving you samples. You really feel valued as a customer. Plus the food is just delicious, especially the creamed corn!!!
