What an experience! I am surprised I enjoyed my visit here as I am avidly not a fan of the Yankees. Several of my NY friends wanted to go to a game and I figured "why not, may as well visit a new stadium." We sat in the outfield with the "Bleacher Creachers." The atmosphere was fun and lively. Three of us split the chicken bucket full of fries and chicken fingers and it was very good and there was plenty! Also, Shock Top drafts and Bud Light drafts were the same price, so we obviously bought the Shock Tops. Overall a good experience for someone who is not a Yankees fan.
There is NOTHING like game day at Beaver Stadium, especially during a White Out! The atmosphere is electric when the Lions are winning! Zombie Nation, Sweet Caroline, the Blue Band, student section - all leave a memorable experience not to mention the football game! As a Penn State alum I am biased but out of all pro and college games I have been to Beaver Stadium and the crowd takes the cake!
I stopped here on a cross-country road trip with my friend. We were starving and searched TripAdvisor for pizza so we could enter town and drive directly to dinner. Pasta Jay's worked for us! After a long day, we sat down to some good pizza that we devoured. Our waiter was extremely nice and patient as we were exhausted and falling a sleep after 12 hours of driving and losing a tire somewhere near Bryce Canyon. Pasta Jay's was just the pick-me-up we needed after a longgggg day of traveling.
YUMMM! I loved going to Mad Mex as a student for tacos and margaritas! On my last visit to State College for Homecoming we swung by Mad Mex for some drinks. The margaritas were just how I remember them. There were a lot of alumni here for Homecoming but the line to get in was CONSIDERABLY shorter than most bars we walked past. Even though Mad Mex was pretty packed inside, we were able to order drinks quickly when we needed them.
